Small ship cruises on the Maple Leaf
Meet the Management Team - Brandon Harvey

Brandon Harvey

Adventure Operations Manager
When Brandon’s grade three teacher taught him about whales, it was “game over” for him, he says. He knew he wanted to work in the whales’ world.

Since then this British Columbia native has forged a successful career doing just that. He’s spent about a decade as a field operations manager and expedition leader for Arctic and Antarctic expedition cruises, where he was responsible for guest services, shore excursions and wildlife viewing, expedition teams, and logistical organization.

Prior to that Brandon was a leading whale watching captain and naturalist on the BC coast, around southern Vancouver Island, Vancouver, and the San Juan Islands.

Brandon has a degree in Geography from the University of Victoria and is completing a Masters in environmental science and management at Royal Roads University. He also has extensive certifications, training and experience in marine and wilderness passenger carrying operations.

Brandon is a fantastic photographer and enjoys photographing our planet’s spectacular natural world. (You can check out his photo website here: www.brandonharveyphotography.com) He is a well-loved lecturer and teacher and is happy to give photography guidance to Maple Leaf’s guests in BC and Alaska.

Brandon is responsible for the operations and guest services at Maple Leaf Adventures. He divides his time between managing trips at our headquarters and operating trips on the ship.

He looks forward to helping our guests explore this wild coast.
