Neil is an experienced captain and avid sailor who has sailed most of the world's major oceans.

Born in South Africa and raised in Vancouver, B.C., Neil's travels have taken him to four continents. He has ten years experience sharing his love of wilderness and wildlife on the B.C. coast, and is an inspiring and conscientious expedition leader.

Neil is an entertaining storyteller with a rich well of experience to draw from. His love of sailing and teaching mean that interested guests can benefit by learning about all aspects of boating while on board Maple Leaf.

Neil is also a Yachtmaster instructor and examiner, a yacht delivery skipper and an accomplished musician. If time and interest are right, he enjoys hosting musical evenings on board.
