Small ship cruises on the Maple Leaf
The Crew and Staff

Every Maple Leaf Adventures crew member has a breadth of experience to share.

They are leaders in their fields who share a common love of the coast's natural and cultural history and a passion for excellence.

Our captains are highly-trained and have passed the stringent exams set by the coast guard. They are also genial hosts who enjoy welcoming the world to Maple Leaf and this coast. Our fun-loving crew are experienced, trained as guides, and have passed the required certification for passenger-carrying vessels.

We are also accomplished sailors and tall ship sailing instructors. Maple Leaf Adventures is the official west-coast trainer for the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet program. Each year we train youth from across Canada to sail the Maple Leaf. The program emphasizes leadership and life skills training.

Maple Leaf Adventures naturalists and resource people are world-class. They are nationally and internationally respected in their fields of biology, geography and anthropology, or are leaders in their nation (First Nations), and are experienced teachers and communicators. They are frequently accomplished in other fields - many are painters, writers, dancers, broadcasters and musicians. They bring an infectious interest in the coast to all our guests.

Our chefs are highly trained in the preparation and presentation of fine dining.

Our office "crew" have left positions in industries such as healthcare and high tech in order to work with us because of their passionate belief in Maple Leaf Adventures. They are knowledgeable, have won awards for their work, and have travelled many times aboard Maple Leaf. They welcome every opportunity to "meet" people via telephone or email. We take pride in the very personalized service they are able to provide to all our guests.
