Sample Itinerary - Alaska Adventures Small Ship Cruise

 
Note that, as with all expedition cruises, itineraries vary depending on the interests of the guests, and the actions of weather and wildlife. This sample itinerary is meant to give you an idea of the typical trip.

Alaska sailing cruise Day 1 Prince Rupert, B.C., to wilderness anchorage, wildlife viewing, shore excursion with introduction to coastal temperate rainforest.

Day 2 Motor-sailing across Dixon Entrance, wildlife viewing. Ketchikan exploration. Wilderness anchorage.

Day 3 Cruising and exploring ashore in South Etolin Wilderness. Black bears, intertidal life, island & islet exploration. Visit to tiny, off-the-grid hamlet. Evening kayaking.

Day 4 Sailing, Wrangell Narrows.

Day 5 Rainforest hike/walk, whale watching, sea lions. Anchor at fjord entrance with view of ice bergs. Beach time.

Day 6 Cruising spectacular fjord to tidewater glacier, ice bergs, wildlife viewing. Option to zodiac, kayak and/or walk, exploring glacier, ice bergs in this awesome ice world.

Day 7 Stephens Passage whale watching and sailing. Admiralty Island’s Glass Peninsula and wild brown bear viewing, estuary meadow walking.

Day 8 Guided brown bear viewing and rainforest walk up salmon creek at Pack Creek
on Admiralty Island, with special access for Maple Leaf guests.

Day 9 Frederick Sound - Chatham Strait humpback whales. Baranof Island anchorage.

Day 10 Cruising and sailing through Tongass National Forest. Seabird viewing.

Day 11 Cruise to Petersburg for disembarkation.
